WCCI-MD, Women's chamber of commerce and industry Multan division, proudly continues its democratic tradition of electing new office bearers and president, every year. According to results of recent (2015) elections, Mrs Razia Shah has become the new president.

The annual (inaugural) general meeting and oath taking ceremony took place on 30th September, at Ladies club Multan. The agenda of the meeting included annual account matters, progress of the chamber and oath taking ceremony of the newly elected board members.

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar (patron in chief WCCI-MD) presided over at the occasion, as chief guest. She was presented a bouquet of flowers on arrival and was seated on the stage, alongwith former president Mrs. Humera Batool, new president Mrs. Razia Shah, official spokesperson and former president Masooma Sibtain.

The program started with recitation of holy Quran by secretary general, Mr. Saeed Agha. Who then went on to share details of successful programs conducted by the chamber and presented the annual report.

It was followed by a speech by Masooma Sibtain. Talking about success and achievements of chamber, Masooma said although 'fashion show 2015' is believed to be cloud 9 of our success story but in her personal opinion, the real achievement is the awareness that this chamber is spreading about entrepreneurship. That too specially among the students. Even in business schools, people are only taught business studies with an aim to make them capable enough to acquire good jobs in business world but WCCIM is the only organization, which is encouraging students to be self reliant through entrepreneurship. With which they not earn for themselves but also employ people and create work opportunities for others.

Masooma congratulated Humera batool, the outgoing president for completion of a highly successful year of leadership and commended her co-operation, untiring efforts for the uplift of this organisation. Masooma also welcomed the incoming new president Mrs. Razia Shah, v. president Mahnaz Amir, senior v. president Seerat and member of the executive board Fariha Munir Shah with others for the next tenure.

Humera Batool and Mrs. Razia Shah also spoke to the gathering. Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar expressed her joy over the astounding success of this chamber and hoped that it will continue making women of this region proud. At the end Humera Batool was presented the shield for her services.

The program ended with a scrumptious hi-tea. A special cake cutting ceremony also took place. Mrs. Naseem Raheem, Farrah Saqib, Mrs. Shahida buccha, Filza Akber, Mrs. Khushi Naeem, Ambreen Khan, Rabia Rehman, Saima Faisal, Fariha Munir Shah were present among the gathering, alongwith members of chamber and friends of Mrs. Razia Shah, who were there to congratulate her at her new appointment.
